Iraq 101 at Mother Jones

I haven’t been to Mother Jones for some time and I see they have some good resources on the war in Iraq. As the name implies, ‘Iraq 101’ provides a range of information in easily digestible pieces. Then there’s ‘Lie by Lie’, which gives the reader an easy, interactive timeline of the Bush era, stretching as far back as the 1991 invasion by Papa Bush. It has a dial on the left – by which you can scroll through the years – and selectively clickable panels for the relevant months of the year when significant events occurred. Entries are also categorised by icons that include things like ‘false intel’, ‘torture’ and ‘fear factor’. See for yourself.

There is also a multi-part piece, ‘US Out. How?’, which consists of ‘conversations with more than 50 experts’. Check it.

One Response to Iraq 101 at Mother Jones

Thank you for the link. The Iraq War was built on lies. The same people who said it would be a cakewalk, now say if the US withdraws it’ll be a genocidal bloodbath.

    I really enjoy your blog.
